Moreelsepark 2 Utrecht
| 30-06-2024
At the end of April, we started a new project in Utrecht commissioned by Dura Vermeer. This is essentially the final phase of the transformation in and around the Hoog Catharijne shopping center.
In the shopping arcade, we are now installing approximately 1300 m² of natural stone floor tiles. This is a Portuguese Moleanos light limestone in 3 different shades and 4 different sizes, creating a beautiful pattern across the entire floor.
We are laying this floor over the existing natural stone floor. The shopping arcade remains open to visitors and shopkeepers during the work.
Through good coordination and collaboration with the contractor and shopkeepers, this floor is being laid with minimal disruption to everyone. We expect to complete these interior works around the summer holidays.
The outer shell of Hoog Catharijne is also part of our assignment. The shopping center is getting an entirely new facade, which we are cladding with an American natural stone: Virginia Black.
The hanging of the natural stone panels is done on a back construction, also installed by us, consisting partly of stainless steel and partly of aluminum profiles, with insulation in between.
We have already installed approximately 300 m² out of a total of about 1200 m². We expect to deliver the facade in November.
