In March 2022, Van Wijnen Heerhugowaard BV placed an order with Bakker Natuursteen for the cladding of two apartment buildings in Oostenburg, Amsterdam. The project started in August 2022 and ended in April 2023. Read more about this project!
The former KPN telephone exchange is situated on the corner of Middenweg and Kamerlingh Onneslaan in Amsterdam. This building is being renovated and transformed into several residential, commercial and restaurant locations. Read more about this project!
The municipality of Emmen has commissioned the renovation of the Biochron building, located on the former zoo site in Emmen, to transform it into an underground exhibition space and a new main entrance to the Rensenpark.
In week 42 we started work on a new project in beautiful Groningen. The Feringa Building is a new university building on the Zernike campus, where we have been commissioned to install wall and floor tiles.
We are currently adding the final touches to the Mercado project in Groningen city centre. We are
conducting this work on behalf of the construction company Plegt-Vos.
Bakker Natuursteen is pleased to announce its involvement in the full renovation of the Ringpark Building. Once renovation work is completed, the building will be given a new name to mark its transformation; it will become the Rembrandt Park building.
We would like to tell you about another new project we have. The project, Hyde Park, consists of three apartment buildings in a large complex in Hoofddorp.
For a new project in Amsterdam, we are going to install beautiful white/cream natural stone. This concerns work on Oostenburg 9D in the heart of Amsterdam at a 10-minute cycle from the centre.
What a wonderful year we have had. A year full of great challenges and projects that we were privileged to be a part of.
A new project we started in October is the Sonate project in The Hague. A residential tower where we are installing natural stone on the facades, ceilings, columns and floors.
Early April of this year we began working on the Golflaan project in Best, installing natural stone from Germany on 24 luxurious rental apartments. We are proud to announce that we have completed this project.
On Monday 17 May we started the construction of Building J in the Overhoeks project in Amsterdam. This is the fourth building in this project in which we have installed natural stone onto the facades.
Last week we started with installing natural stone in the Golflaan in the town of Best. It involves the installation of German natural stone for 24 luxury rented apartments!
Bakker Natuursteen’s projects department shifted its focus to the production of natural stone ventilated façades in 2018. Our production chain comprises the worldwide sourcing of natural stone blocks, the processing of these blocks into cladding panels and the installation of the end product.
In late April we announced the news that we had been asked to be part of the construction of the two Grotius towers in The Hague.
Now we can proudly say that we have started work on this wonderful project.
The Overhoeks Project in Amsterdam is well on its way! “The Row” building is almost done and, in week 45, we will start installing the natural stone on Block K for Bouwbedrijf Dura Vermeer Midden West.
The Little C project consists of 15 buildings that will contain about 330 private rental and owner-occupied housing residences. We will be working on all 15 buildings and will be using natural stone with four different finishes.

At the end of 2018, the Grotius consortium (J.P. van Eesteren & Besix) commissioned us to engineer, produce and install natural stone facade cladding for the Grotius Towers project in The Hague.

Bakker Natuursteen has been commissioned by Smits Bouwbedrijf B.V. to deliver and apply natural stone facade cladding to the beautiful CasaNova project in Rotterdam.
In the middle of 2016, we submitted our first quotation for the floors inside and out. In June 2017, together with an entire delegation (the commissioning party, architects and contractor), we visited the quarry in France to look at the stone and discuss the final details.
For our commissioning party Studio SOOL, we were able to create a particularly beautiful worktop made out of honed Bianco Carrara marble.
