OVERHOEKS PROJECT, A1 & A2, AMSTERDAM
| 02-13-2020
For the Overhoeks project in Amsterdam, we will be applying natural stone facades on four buildings. We will be realising two buildings for construction company De Nijs and two buildings for construction company Dura Vermeer. The two buildings for De Nijs will be started this year!
We will begin with the cladding of Block A2 (The Row, 1611 m²), applying Moleanos natural stone to the facades.
Moleanos comes from Alcobaça (Portugal) and is a beige stone with slight veining, speckled throughout with black-brown particles. The facade of Block A1 (The Grid, 2977 m²) will be clad with Jura Gelb stone, which is a type of marble quarried in Germany and, like the Moleanos, beige in color.
A visualization of the future look of the buildings is given below. At this time, plans for Block A1 are well under way and we hope to begin fitting this block right after the construction industry summer break. We will start with Block A2 before then. The slabs for this section are already in Amsterdam and we hope to be able to show the final result in September 2020!
