Bakker Natuursteen Realizes Natural Stone Cladding for Spoorzone Delft

Bakker Natuursteen is proud to contribute to the transformation of the Spoorzone in Delft, a large-scale urban development project where historical charm and modern architecture come together. This project is being carried out by Boele & van Eesteren on behalf of Stichting Woonbron and Stichting Zorginstellingen Pieter van Foreest. In total, 118 care studios and 67 rental apartments will be realized.

For this prestigious project, we are supplying and installing the natural stone for the ground floor, an essential part of the design that perfectly combines durability and aesthetics. Two high-quality natural stone types are being used: Ataya Azul and Belgian bluestone. These stones have been carefully selected for their robust properties and timeless appearance, making them an excellent fit for the architectural vision of the Spoorzone. The combination of these materials ensures a chic, natural finish, giving the building a unique and high-end appearance.

The installation will be carried out using a combination of anchor fixings and adhesive bonding. This hybrid technique ensures both mechanical security and visual optimization, which is essential for the stability and appearance of the ground floor. The combination of anchors and bonding provides a reliable and durable solution, guaranteeing not only a secure attachment but also a sleek finish.

Our highly skilled and experienced installers will begin the installation at the end of June 2025. Thanks to their craftsmanship and attention to detail, we can guarantee a high-quality final result that perfectly aligns with the expectations of both the client and the architect.
